Richmond Literary Lunches

Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club, Richmond

Philip Collins, columnist and chief leader writer for The Times, has a rich CV and back story and was one of our first authors, who was very well received.   Philip is chair of the board of trustees at the independent think tank, Demos, an Evening Standard columnist and a contributing editor at the New Statesman.  His sixth book 'To be Clear' was released in 2021, an inspiring manual to re-invigorate business speech and writing. The lunch is held at the Royal Mid-Surrey golf club, Old Deer Park, in a wonderful dining room with a view to Kew Gardens, the Kings Observatory and two golf courses.

Richmond Literary Lunches

Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club, Richmond

Henry Hemming author of Four Shots in the Night, a scrupulous investigation of the murder of an undercover British agent at the centre of a web of secrets, lies and betrayals. It is described as a ‘mind-bending deep dive into a shadowy world of government secrets’. All true, having read his account of infiltrating the IRA, I have the deepest admiration for the courage of the British secret service agents involved. And Henry is a great story teller! The lunch is held at the Royal Mid-Surrey golf club, Old Deer Park, in a wonderful dining room with a view to Kew Gardens, the Kings Observatory and two golf courses.
